This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photograph. These boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will fix your drive by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique, required data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is necessary for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer professional can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
