This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant if the chip is movable. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
