This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). The physical hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
