This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before ordering, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM memory data that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
