Intended use: this PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Important: most drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for proper operation. That ROM data must be transferred or restored to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
