Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for HDD repair or data recovery tasks. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if transplanting the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the operation.
