This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Important: most hard drive PCBs store critical, unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
