This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task.
