This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: replacement for drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB, or reprogramming the new circuit board with the correct ROM data.
