This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards include unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board; if you cannot do this yourself a local computer professional can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
