This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — NO hard drive included. The exact board shipped may differ slightly from the photo because we have a large inventory of compatible PCBs. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before buying, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs include unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct hard drive operation. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physically moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
