This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs. Important: most WD PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to work correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip.
