This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large quantity of PCBs in stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The circuit board is sold for hard drive repair and data-recovery purposes. To confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide before purchase. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. When physical transfer of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programs the new board with the correct ROM data.
