This listing is for a hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store critical, unique information in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM data must be moved to or programmed into the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
