This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the drive is NOT included. We maintain a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. This part is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most HDD circuit boards contain unique calibration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is essential for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
