This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. To confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in the ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
