Product is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement circuit boards contain essential, unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
