This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain essential, unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
