Item is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM memory chip that holds essential data required for correct drive operation; that ROM (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customer orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
