This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery work, this PCB is intended as a replacement part only. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for proper operation. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer repair technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
