This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your drive’s problem by consulting our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can typically perform the soldering or chip-swap. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
