Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictures. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM (memory) chip holding essential drive parameters; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
