This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We keep a large inventory, so the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair work. Before purchasing, verify compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run diagnostics using our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will address the problem. Note: many hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM memory data that is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If a chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
