Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data-recovery work. Before buying, verify that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; this information is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
