This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repairs. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM (often called the “memory” chip). That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or programming the correct ROM data onto the board.
