This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. The board is intended for use in data recovery or hard-drive repair. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; those ROM contents are required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. When physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the job. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
