This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If you cannot perform the transplant yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more, we provide complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the PCB with the correct ROM data.
