This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs hold unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
