This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured example. Use this PCB for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Prior to ordering, confirm that a replacement board will solve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM "memory" chip, and that data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
