This sale includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
