This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the disk drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for use in HDD repair or data recovery projects. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most PCBs store drive-unique information in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
