This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of similar PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique drive information in a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If you cannot perform that transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually relocate the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
