This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This part is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Western Digital PCBs contain a unique ROM chip that stores essential drive configuration data; this information must be transferred or reprogrammed on the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
