Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to the large number of PCBs in stock, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its stored data must be transferred to the replacement board. When a physical chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
