This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in HDD repair and data recovery, this board should be used only after confirming compatibility and fault diagnosis. To verify that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and review the Donor Matching Guide for compatibility. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique service data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
