This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs store unique firmware data in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform that operation. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
