This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board (or the replacement must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM contents.
