This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB can be a replacement part when diagnosing drive faults. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap is likely to fix the problem, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
