This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we hold a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique, drive-specific information in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data). If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
