This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we have a large quantity of PCBs in stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictures. The PCB is provided for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. To determine whether replacing the PCB will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer professional can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we offer a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
