This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We maintain a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible WD drives. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information on the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
