This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We hold a large inventory of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
