This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for repair or data recovery uses. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB replacement will solve your problem by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs include unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If moving the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
