This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Important: many hard drive PCBs store unique data in the ROM ("memory") chip which is required for the drive to operate correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
