This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed onto it. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
