This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is supplied for hard drive repair and data-recovery use. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
