This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function properly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
