This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm that a PCB swap will remedy your problem, please follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; this data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip is removable, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
