Item includes the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no HDD is included. We stock a large number of boards, so the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This circuit board is meant for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue, please follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation, so the ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be desoldered and moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the original ROM onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
