Product is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the actual hard drive is NOT included. Multiple identical PCBs are in stock, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide. Confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
